One reader's rave

"Thanks for the newspaper with your book review. I can’t tell you how impressed I am with this terrific piece of writing. It is beautiful, complex, scholarly. Only sorry Mr. Freire cannot read it!" -- Ailene

Webinar: Nonviolent Resistance in Violent Times

From Israeli Palestinian Bereaved Families for Peace:

2025 has had the highest record of settler violence towards Palestinians, bearing down on the livelihood and safety of Palestinians across the West Bank. Israeli peace activists are also facing increased violence and threats.

Join us on Wednesday, December 10 at 1pm ET / 10am PT, for a special webinar with bereaved Palestinian and Israeli peacemakers. In Nonviolent Resistance in Violent Times, you’ll get to hear directly from those most impacted by this.

Our Palestinian partners will share about their personal experiences with settler violence, and our Israeli partners will share about threats to peace activism. How do we build peace when many of us need to simply survive?

The webinar will have live translation between Arabic, Hebrew, and English. Come ready to bare witness to the complex reality of Palestinian-Israeli peace building.

Speakers Include:

Hanadi Hathaleen: Bereaved Palestinian wife, resident of Umm Al-Khair

Yacoub Alrabi: Bereaved Palestinian husband, Parents Circle staff member

Mohammad Awad: Bereaved Palestinian cousin, Parents Circle staff member

Yuval Roth: Bereaved Israeli brother, founder of Road to Recovery

I hope you can make it. Until then - happy holidays to those who celebrate. We are filled with gratitude for you and your support.

In peace,

Shiri Ourian
