One reader's rave

"Thanks for the newspaper with your book review. I can’t tell you how impressed I am with this terrific piece of writing. It is beautiful, complex, scholarly. Only sorry Mr. Freire cannot read it!" -- Ailene

"A grave error that Americans made: becoming okay with favored politicians lying.

"They rationalize: 'he meant well', 'he does it to help our side', 'it's directionally correct.'

"Politicians must lose support for lying, or else politics becomes make-believe, and the people's beliefs untether from reality. If lying increases election odds more than telling the truth, it's obvious what sort of leaders we'll end up with."
